Habitat for Humanity
We volunteer on a Saturday each Spring and Fall every year, in most weather conditions. The shift is 8 am to 3 pm, lunch is provided by Habitat for Humanity volunteer organizations. The last several years we have worked with Habitat for Humanity Northwest, near Sam Houston Pkwy North and Hwy 249 (Willowbrook area).
There are no particular skills are needed, other than two hands and a willingness to perform whatever tasks Habitat need that weekend. Since we are a volunteer organization, our volunteering is dependent on open available dates.
Fall 2015, Saturday 21 November (away game at Vanderbilt). We are hoping for late kickoff so we can immediately adjourn to a game watching location.
Spring 2015, Saturdays 31 January and 25 April.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Habitat coordinator Allison Rosen ’02 at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Jim Thorpe ’78 at email@example.com.
Email reminders will be sent out through the volunteer eblasts and the weekly HAMC eblasts.
