The Houston A&M Club is once again partnering with Wreaths Across America – Houston to raise funds for laying wreaths at the Houston National Cemetery. Last year donations allowed for wreaths at over two thirds of the 60,000+ gravesites. We need your help to meet the goal of all the gravesites!
The Caring Aggies Mentoring Program is a long-term mentoring program through the Houston A&M Club where volunteers meet disadvantaged third grade students and mentor them through their high school graduation.
C.A.M.P. strives to mentor children as they develop through school and inspire them to pursue higher education by reinforcing excellent academic standards; building confidence and leadership skills; providing fun, life-enriching experiences and role modeling qualities of success.
Join the Houston Aggie Volunteers on the first Tuesday of each month and/or Multiple Saturdays at the Houston Food Bank! We enjoy making a difference in our community and operate with a “work hard, play hard” attitude. Don’t forget this is an excellent opportunity to fulfill the volunteer community service hours for high school, college and other community service organizations.
We volunteer on a Saturday each Spring and Fall every year, in most weather conditions. The shift is 8 am to 3 pm, lunch is provided by Habitat for Humanity volunteer organizations. The last several years we have worked with Habitat for Humanity Northwest, near Sam Houston Pkwy North and Hwy 249 (Willowbrook area). There are no particular skills are needed, other than two hands and a willingness to perform whatever tasks Habitat need that weekend. Since we are a volunteer organization, our volunteering is dependent on open available dates.
The Houston A&M Club exists to foster the Aggie Spirit in Houston, support Texas A&M, and fund scholarships for Houston-area students attending Texas A&M University.
Your donations keep us going.
