Meet The Houston A&M Club’s President Elect, Stephen K. London ’79

After growing up in Corsicana, Steve graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in 1979.  While at A&M, he was Commanding Officer of Squadron Two and was a member of the Ross Volunteer Company.

Steve is now a vice president for Halliburton where he has worked for 30 years.  He joined Halliburton in Morgan City, Louisiana, and then held various engineering, business development and management assignments in Houston and Dallas before transferring to Indonesia in 1991 and to Malaysia in 1993.  His positions there included Vietnam Country Manager, Asia Operations Manager, and Asia Business Development Manager.  In 1997, Steve transferred back to Houston as a Global Account Manager before his current assignment.  He is a member of several industry associations including the Society of Petroleum Engineers, for which he has chaired and served on numerous boards and committees.  Recently he served on the National Petroleum Council’s Global Oil and Gas Study that produced Facing the Hard Truths about Energy which provided a comprehensive view of global energy to the year 2030.

In addition to numerous immediate and extended family members, Steve’s wife Jann ’79, daughter Mylea ’07, and son Bryce ’09 all graduated from A&M.  Answering for his father (Jack R. London ’46) at last year’s Muster ceremony reinforced to him the many unique and important traditions of Texas A&M.

Steve is excited about the opportunity to work with the many dedicated and talented Houston A&M Club members.  He recognizes these members as being committed to helping Houston area former students be part of and enjoy the benefits of the Aggie Network, while assisting future Aggies obtain their degrees.
