DESCRIPTION:Looking to get out of the house and make a difference in the community? Now more than ever\, our long term partners at the Houston Food Bank urgently need volunteers to provide essential services and hunger relief to Houstonians during this challenging time. The food bank is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of it’s volunteers. You can read more about their efforts to do so here. \nIf you are interested and comfortable volunteering\, sign up online with the Food Bank here. Choose a time slot that works for you\, with shifts available 7 days a week. Want to join a group of Houston Aggies? We will volunteer together on Tuesday\, April 7th at 6pm. To join us on April 7th\, RSVP to ThorpeJim@comcast.net. AGE REQUIREMENTS at the Warehouse\, 6 years old chaperoned\, 15 years old unchaperoned. \nDirections to location: Take I-10 east\, exit 774\, Gellhorn Dr (after McCarty St\, before 610 East Loop).  U-turn to feeder road heading west.  Turn right on Portwall St (green Houston Food Bank sign)\, turn right into parking lot in front of light green building (same area as HFB trucks and loading docks).  Park at the far end of the lot\, by the main entrance. \n
