He is a professor of the practice at the Bush School\, where he teaches\ncourses on intelligence\, counterintelligence\, and international crisis\nmanagement. \nHe served for over thirty years in the Directorate of\nOperations of the Central Intelligence Agency\, mostly overseas in clandestine\noperations. In addition to several foreign assignments\, he was chief of\ncounterintelligence at CIA headquarters in Langley\, Virginia. \nProfessor Olson has been awarded the Intelligence Medal of\nMerit\, the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal\, the Donovan Award\, and\nseveral Distinguished Service Citations. He is the recipient of awards from the\nBush School and the Association of Former Students for excellence in teaching. \nProfessor Olson is the author of Fair Play: The Moral Dilemmas of Spying.
