Coach’s Night 2017 deborah
“Recall! Step off on ‘Hullabaloo!’”
One of the great traditions at Texas A&M is the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band marching on to Kyle Field at halftime. The drum major calls the band to attention and then directs the band by shouting “Recall!! Step off on Hullabaloo!” As we step off into another Coach’s Night, we hope you will join us for the 2017 program taking place on Sunday, July 23rd at NRG Center. Doors open at 4:30 pm and the Program starts at 6:30 pm.
We have a huge love for Aggie football, but more importantly we want to provide as much scholarship money as possible to local students so they can obtain their Aggie degree. Our goal this year is to raise over $200,000, which, with your help, we will do. With these funds, the Houston A&M Club carries out its three-part mission, including this year’s goals:
Endowing at least one new $25,000 scholarship and funding the 25 annual $2000 Top Kick and Opportunity scholarships for students from the greater Houston area attending Texas A&M University;
Donating $25,000 to Texas A&M University’s Colleges, Departments, and Student Organizations; and
Making a positive difference in the Houston community through volunteerism.
We are proud to be Houston Aggies. We are happy to be among friends, listening to our beloved Coach Sumlin talk about our favorite subject – Aggie football. And we are thrilled that you have chosen to spend your night with us.
The core purpose of the Houston A&M Club is to bring fellow Aggies together, which can be narrowed down to three simple words: Attend, Donate, and Volunteer. Coach’s Night is a great example of the coming together of Houston Aggies, and this event would not be possible without the efforts of a great group of volunteers.
